Unbroken Circle Green
Cemetery

Pets
Deep in the heartland of Texas, Unbroken Circle Green Cemetery is San Antonio’s first and only Conservation Burial Ground. Our 6.5-acre green cemetery captures the expansive Texas landscape and is encompassed within our 246-acre Wildlife Conservation Center. Furthermore, in honor of beloved pets, we have established a pet cemetery adjacent to our green cemetery.
When a Death Occurs
When a Death Occurs Contact rhe Proper Authorities.
Before any arrangements and decisions can be made, a legal pronouncement of death must be declared. If your loved one dies inside of a medical or nursing facility like a hospital or nursing home, the staff will handle getting this declaration made. If your loved one dies at home, immediately call 911 , informing the operator a death has occurred. Family members who die under hospice care can be declared dead by the hospice staff. This legal declaration must be made before the family can proceed with making any funeral arrangements or handling any legal affairs.
If you like, we can connect you with an independent, licensed funeral director who is an expert in Natural Burial. We work closely with them as a team and can help you every step of the way. Our goal is to make the process as simple and painless as possible.

Being prepared brings great Peace of Mind. That’s why we recommend contacting us prior to a death. We can get acquainted, answer your questions, and let you know what to expect regarding the natural burial process. If you wish, you can make arrangements tour the cemetery and select the burial plot.

Conservation Natural Burial
Conservation burial is a natural burial practice that serves a significant conservation purpose. It involves the internment of human remains in a way that supports the natural process of decomposition in healthy soil, recycling elements from the body into nutrients for the ecosystem. This practice minimizes the environmental disturbance and promotes sustainable practices. We are in partnership with conservation organizations that include a conservation management plan and perpetual protection of the land to keep it “wild and whole”.
The Process
Don’t worry, we will guide through the process.
Please reach out to us to inquire about available “pre-need” (planning ahead) or “at-need” (immediate) spaces. To schedule a tour of the cemetery, you can call, email, or schedule here online. On your scheduled day and time, we will meet you at the cemetery gate to provide a guided tour so you can pick that special spot. We will review and explain our conservation burial guidelines with you. After addressing any questions or concerns, and once agreed upon, we will then accept payment, provide a purchase agreement/certificate of burial rights for both parties to sign, and then issue a receipt for your payment. Then we will physically mark the plot or section, which will also be listed at the top of your certificate and recorded in our cemetery records.
